Realism will include: dualism or materialism, believe theres both mind and matter (like descartes) dualism, only matter exists mind is something matter does materialist, problem with both mind and matter existing is, how are they really related, mind can cause body to move, what happens to the body causes sensations in the mind, but how can they have a relationship when they have nothing in common, called the mind body" problem, bodies exist without the mind (exist outside of the mind, cant see behind the curtain, veil of perception, cant check if anything is real, barkley basically says that we have no idea whats out in the world, why should you suppose that the images outside is the same as inside your mind, there could be nothing in the world, we only have what we see in our minds to go on.
