Description
I think that the points made regarding a potential government initiative promoting a  worklife balance could aid in helping the women whose job progress is seriously  hindered but the “double day”.  The article  ‘The Unspoken Stigma of Workplace  Flexibility’ posted by Natalia does however raise concerns regarding the successful  implementation of such a program that are similar to research I found in writing my  essay. The legal profession in Canada is still dominated by males, women lawyers earn  less than their male equivalents, fewer women make partner and most significantly,  scores of women lawyers drop out of the profession to have a family and either never  come back or if they do return, are restricted to parttime work. This is almost entirely a  result of the biological reality that most women have children and this type of career is  still best suited to the lawyer who has a spouse at home that looks after the children.  Attached is another recent article furth
