Document Summary

Aim: to understand why objects move around us. Pay attention to vocabulary difference between physics and everyday life. Going from one place to another in time. There is a difference in motion depending on what the object is i. e. car faster in speed than a human. Even though the chair is still relative to the earth, it is moving with the earth as it moves around the sun. Shoes are in contact with surface (ice, cold) Skater travels distance in certain time: speed: change of distance with time. Wheel s are in contact with a rough surface (road) Blades are in contact with a smooth surface (ice) It means the skater has a speed or velocity. Note: objects do not move without having a contact with a surface (or other objects) The reason things can fly is because it is making contact with the air. When you are pushing the air the air is pushing back.
