Document Summary

This is very old, when body is emerged in a fluid the fluid will exert an upward force on the body which is equal to the force caused by the weight of the body. The boyant force which is always pointing upwards is the mass of teh displaced fluid (the word displaced is really imporant) So we are trying to rewrite the massd wih the density of the fluid instead. So this depends on the two vectors to determine if the fnet is up, down, or 0. We all know that if we are going ot push a ball filled with water that it will shoot back up and float on top of the water. What we are doing now is the though experiment. So you have a beaker full of water and then we have another objet on the obkect.
