Tyranny, oligarchy, democracy: lawful polities = still not ideal but better than lawless. Best of the lawful polities is a mixed government (with monarchy and democracy) because bring stability if more people are satisfied. Brings justice: rank of polities: monarchy aristoc democracy (lawful) democ (lawless) tyranny and oligarchy both last, justice v. temperance/ self-control. Location: don"t place in athens because it"s by the sea not inland so polity is influenced mainly by democracy. Population: 5040, enough citizens to defend the state.
