SYMPTOMS:
• Traumatic Event (Criterion A)
o Caregivers, directly experienced, witnessed in person, close person,
repeated/extreme exposure (e.g., first responders, therapists, etc.)
• Intrusion Symptoms (Criterion B)
o Recurrent, involuntary, distressing memories of the event
o E.g., nightmares, flashbacks
• Avoidance (Criterion C)
• Negative Cognitive/Mood Changes (Criterion D)
o Diminished interest in activities, persistent inability to experience positive emotions,
• Changes in Arousal (Criterion E)
o Persistent at least for a month
CHALLENGES OF ARTICLES:
