Spirituality in ot: no single authoritative de nition as to what we mean by spirituality spirituality is deeply personal and unique for each person, spiriruality goes beyond formal notions of ritual / religion. The essence of a person : encompasses how a person seeks meaning and purpose in his/her life, expressed by two different things, what we say values and beliefs, what we do (actions) the choices we make. The value meaning occupation model: meaning is a driving force for engaging in occupational engagement. Jones, topping, wattis & smith (2016: decline in a person"s health status affecting their well being and quality of life may lead to: Loss of meaning :/ purpose / signi cane in life: when someone has a decline in their wellbeing it can lead to a loss of balance or meaning.
