OT LECTURE 3 OT: Seating Lab session OT Emerging Role: Skin and Wound Care Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Wheelchair, positioning, and ambulation aids category Purpose of ADP To enable people with physical disabilities to increase their independence through access to assistive devices responsive to their individual needs Covers up to 75 of the ADP price Must meet all the eligibility criteria Device must meet the clients basic mobility needs Wheelchair, positioning an d ambulation aids include: Wheeled walkers Manual wc Positioning devices (seating) for wc Power wc scooters Power add on devices for manual wc Power dynamic tilt and recline systems, power elevating leg rests ADP exclusions Funding for repairs, maintenance, replacement batteries for powered devices. Client must not be eligible for other benefits, such as WSIB and Veterans Affairs Canada Applicants Receiving Social Assistance Benefits ADP will pay 100 of the approved price for mobility devices if the applicant is receiving: o Ontario Works Program (OWP) o Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) o Assistance to Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD)
