The indus valley civilization flourished and was a great society in the indus river valley. They came from the north west and were indo-european who"s today"s descendants are in. They eventually conquer the area they were a pastoral society and were cattle herders. In those days, the conquering group would subjugate the existing beliefs of the indigenous population. The aryans bring in their faith traditions, languages, customs, and a caste system (warriors, priests, herders) into the indigenous population and mix it together. The cultures become assimilated with one another. Timeless truths that are passed down from age to age. The truths of the universe were simply heard. Helps to make meaning for the general population.
