Seth meets veronica at a press conference held by bartok science industries; the company that is funding seth"s work. Seth shows veronica the project that will change the world: A set of telepods that allows instantaneous teleportation from one object to another. The telepods are able to transport inanimate objects perfectly, but does not work well with living things: Seth and veronica have a romantic relationships and their first sexual encounter provides inspiration for seth to reprogram the telepod. He then teleports another baboon with no apparent harm. With this new success, seth wants to jiggy jiggy with veronica, but she suddenly leaves. Seth, impaired by alcohol, becomes paranoid that she is rekindling her love with stathis. Veronica leaves seth because she does not want seth"s work to be published (without her consent) Seth then decides to teleport himself as revenge for veronica infidelity; but he teleports with a fly: he comes out of the pod, seemingly unharmed.
