Do more activities together, spend more time together and find how things work between both of you: rapport. If you have a lot in common, you will be able to communicate better and feel more at ease (i. e. culture, religion, social values) Do not have to be exactly the same, but must complement each other. Suggests that love is developed and maintained through these stages. Suggests that the wheel keeps turning or it can stop at any point and the wheel will stop turning. Making mutual decisions and satisfying each other"s goals: intimacy. Orange is more passionate and intimate, but less committed. Blue is not as passionate or as intimate, but is more committed. Example is abusive relationship or if you cannot get a divorce w/ one partner being only committed.
