Social processes (the last piece of the puzzle) Occur in any part of our lives, move across our social lives. Twitter - social mobility, class, race, and gender **on the exam** Social processes: the variety of ways in which individuals and groups interact and establish social relations (thereby reproducing social structures) Fundamental social processes appear repeatedly in society. Across different subfields of sociology (work, education, life curse) Elemental processes: how separate elements of social system are articulated (i. e. made coherent) Evaluation of actors and allocation o status roles. Comprehensive process: those by which several or all of the elements are involved - beliefs, knowledge, goals, norms, ranks, resources, etc. Same social processes (isomorphs) take place in different aspects of social lives. Yields social formation - processes and results of these processes that we recognize as (cid:873)society(cid:874) - idea of the processes that take place and the structure of these processes. Can be positive (associative) or negative (dissociative)
