Sex: biologically being born with male or female genitals and the male or female hormones that stimulate the development of your reproductive system. Gender: sense of being male or female and playing masculine and feminine roles as defined as appropriate by your culture and society. Liberal feminism: mainstream; there is not a necessity to fundamentally change society, they just want equal rights for everyone. Socialist feminism: somewhere in the middle of the other two; some aspect of society must fundamentally change. Radical feminism: argue that within the current society, equality is very difficult to achieve; the only way to achieve equality is to remove the reproductive capabilities of women. Social constructionism: looks at gender differences from a socially constructed. Pov: those features of life that appear natural or innate are sustained by social processes that vary both historically and culturally, gender is considered a social construction, gender socialization.
