There is a wide range of mental health conditions: we are all impacted by mental health, disorders that affect our mood, thinking and behaviour, ongoing signs and symptoms that cause frequent stress and affect ability to function. Some have more of a debilitating impact on us, some are treatable. It is (cid:374)ot (cid:862)(cid:272)u(cid:396)a(cid:271)le(cid:863) (cid:271)ut it is (cid:373)a(cid:374)agea(cid:271)le. In many instances, the only way that you would know if someone has a mental illness is if that individual tells you. The biggest barrier to have a successful life is the stigma of having the illness and the way they are treated by others because of it. Everyone at a point in time through family member, friend or colleague. People of all ages, educational levels, occupations, incomes and cultures: mental health covers all demographics. 20% (1/5) personally experience a mental illness of any kind. Contributing factors to mental illness not a cause: genetic factors some people are pre-disposed to mental illness.
