Outcome or condition that may change as result of being subjected to treatment or independent variable. Pretests: measurement of dependent variable prior to treatment or intervention. Sensitization: sensitizing to topic you are investigating, results due to realization of what you"re asking. Measurement/decay: test experiment detoriate over (ex: word changes) Statistical regression: weird stuff, but doesn"t keep happening. Selection bias: doesn"t have total neutrality in who we pick. Subject mortality: subjects die between pretest and post-test. Control group: those who do not receive study/treatment (ind) Random assignment: method of assigning cases to one group or another, based solely on selection procedures that involve chance and therefore free from human biases. Matching: alternative to random assignment that splits group into 2 halves based on matched criteria between groups.
