Labour is the primary way that human beings realize themselves in nature and in history. Under industrial capitalism: labour has become alienated over capitalism. People lose their connection with the self de ning aspect of their laboring activity. Wage labour: labour is sold for an hourly wage. Class consciousness: the proletariat realizes that his/her exploitation is not an individual experience: it is shared with all others of the same class.
