Tools we use to labor -- knife, bow and arrow, gun. Sometimes we can think of ourselves as a tool: relations of production. Coordinating activities for the purpose of completing an action. I. e. handing a spear to someone to kill an animal (moral intuition: some people in the relation of production can be dissatisfied) - as we move through each society, change in the superstructure are occurring. - changes in the superstructure reflects changes in the modes of productions.
