You don"t just come out once, you do it throughout your life. 3 rules: be authentic, be direct, be unapologetic. Try to relate to people even if you don"t believe in what they are saying. Goffman said that everyone has a stigma, everyone has something we don"t know. Master status: the first thing people think of when they think of you. It is not sufficient simply to have an experience in order to learn.
