Better understanding of how and why crime occurs by focusing on: It may be immoral but not a crime: transactions: exchanges that take place during the event and its situational context. What happens after: how we respond to the crime influences the likelihood of future criminal events. The criminal event has episodic quality: has a beginning and an end.
