Lecture 2: nature and extent of women"s and girls" crime. It"s the marriage of theory and practice. Looking at your world and changing a part of it. Advocate and deal with the people sensitively, ethic of care, equality. Women in crim have more in common with women in society than male inmates. Women are clustered in labour market and also clusterened in their types of crime. About 21% of women crimes are under criminal code. Usually the court cases are about prostitution. Female youth participation in crime (28%), women (21%) Compared to men, they usually kill their acquantances. Usually women kill their partners in self defense. Decarsare gave shocking numbers 35% physically assaulted, 24% sexually. Women who leave are 6x more likely to be assaulted by their ex partner assaulted. Cycle of abuse don"t realize they want to leave. Womens lives can be a continuum of unsafety.
