Chapter 3 of the hickey textbook discusses the psychopathology and biogenics of serial murderers, starting with some historical explanations of violent behavior. Additionally, personality factors are identified and explained, as well as mask of sanity"s" 16 characteristics of psychopaths and hare"s 40-point psychopathy scale. The murderous minds" article notes fundamental differences between law, which sees humans as free-willed actors, in contrast to psychiatry and psychology which may attribute behavior to genetics.
