A. Draw major lines ﬁrst (contour the main objects of the piece) - then add detail!

relative to the objects around it)!

C. Be aware of hairy lines!

In-tutorial project!

•Use contour to draw the subject matter in front of you (in this case = a few crumpled

leaf bags and the fabric that they are placed on)!

•TOOLS NEEDED: drawing board & clips, newsprint pad, graphite pencils, pencil

sharpener, vinyl eraser!
