"man" and "woman" defies societal expectations regarding gender. Some may have the desire to: properly belong to another gender. Fill some pace that is not yet clearly defined. A contested term today because it can sound overly clinical or imply the issue is closely linked to sexual behavior. Some trans folks prefer the term, others detest it. Genderqueer- resists gender norms without medical intervention; challenge gender categories through expression. Non-binary- variant, fluid, pangender, not identifying with any gender, sometimes both, sometimes one more so than another. Cisgender- identifying with the gender associated with one"s biological sex. Don"t use "transgendered", transgender never needs an extraneous "-ed" at the end. Her platform gives her the opportunity to have a voice. Immediately visible, helps with idea that "you can"t be what you can"t see" Her show "i am cait" allowed her to travel around the world with other trans women who are great.
