Judith got maid servant to help her, crossed enemy lines and saw holofernes and wanted to help him, didn"t want to die: wanted to find out secret so she knew how to handle situation. They have dinner, he drinks wine and gets very drunk and she cuts off his head. Artemisia adheres to this story, shows judith as heroine.
