Desiring women: week 12 gender, sexuality, and desire. Interviews: when people transition they have a hard time identifying their sexual orientation and identity. It is acknowledged, however, that one"s sexual identity is a label which often represents an embodied practice of desire and engagement of that desire, so they cannot be completely separated. (562) Sexual intimacy of female to male transgender people - identifiers are complicated. What happens when as established relationship was same sex and then is no longer same sex. What happens when the features of your partner change. Some similarities of racial and sexual identity intertwining together. Study addresses issues specific to sexual desire and practice from the perspective of the partners (561) Desire vs. identity - attraction changes, how do you negotiate desire and sexual identity. Women"s attraction to a degree is not focused on in the media. Still kind of want the dominant passive role, but also wanting to keep changing roles.
