Collarium was dic worn around neck of slave to signify ownership. Could also describe traits of particular slaves. Standard motif in roman art was cupid punished. Cupid wearing shackles and showing remorse should also be a motif related to slavery. Motif of cupid seller could relate to idea of slaves being unable to ee (even cupid with his wings could not escape) Represents ancient view of slaves as tools. Any number of occupations could be completed by slaves, including within households, farmsteads, factories, mines, military etc.
