Personal motivation is what drives us internally and externally to succeed in whatever we want to succeed in. Flow state happens when you are completely involved and focused on what you are doing. Often people produce their best work, make the best use of their skills, and feel the most pleasure when they are in such a flow state. Organizational psychology studies how to create a workplace that fosters motivation and productivity among employees. Engaged employee one who is fully involved in, and enthusiastic about, their work, and thus will act in a way that furthers their organization"s interests. Maslow"s hierarchy of needs suggests that our primary needs are met first before our higher-level needs are addressed. Mcclelland"s three needs suggests there are three main motivations. 1) the need for achievement (to accomplish something difficult on your own) 2) the need for affiliation (to form close personal relationships); and.
