Stage 1: forming: figure out purpose, clarification of roles. Stage 2: storming: where conflicts usually occur, sorting out responsibilities, formal leader steps forward, how will tasks be delegated. Stage 3: norming: issues are resolved, consensus around purpose and goals, cohesiveness. Stage 4: performing: group is most creative and efficient, focus is on task-achievement. Reasons for regression: new members, new tasks.
