Document Summary

All components of your lab report must be your own work (talk to others, do not copy others) List on the top left hand side of first page. An abstract is a brief summary (1 paragraph; 200-250 words) of a research study experiment. Name or briefly describe the basic methodology used without excessive detail. Report any key quantitative results that answer the questions you were asking. Identify trends and major findings of the experiment. Brief summary of your interpretations and conclusion. Clearly state the implications of the answers your results gave you and whether or not the method was effective in addressing the purpose. Avoid lengthy background information, incomplete sentences or any terms/abbreviations that may be confusing. Abstract helps readers decide if they want to read the rest of the paper or will be useful to someone who wishes to reference your work.
