Production is the structure of our society; create the content of our society. Political economy at its worst there is no political agency, indv. as consumers have no ability to react or resist anything at all: cultural studies at its worse, no value / grounding. We need to understand communication as culture. Making issues of sex and gender visual: macro level analysis is blind to the specific little aspects of lived experiences.
