Your term project, is a group of assignments that has three parts: (a) the proposal and system composition, (b) inter-relationships and process and (c) solutions and final report. The focus overall for this project is to examine a specific place, management unit, political entity, etc. and the associated conservation or sustainability challenge from a social-ecological system perspective. You will identify the composition or main stakeholders and the context of the issue, then determine the processes that link the components together and finally offer solutions to make the system more sustainable. You goal is to assess the system"s challenges, opportunities, and needs for achieving sustainability or effective conservation. You should choose several processes that are most relevant to your particular system. Parts a and b should be in the range of 500 750 words with accompanying diagrams while the final report will be ~1500 words. The proposal is worth 10% of the project final grade.
