Tourism creates inequalities where there were previously not visible differences/power relationships in local communities. Locals are witness to wealth this creates inequalities and negative emotional geographies. Desire, jealousy, need for power, need to not be a victim of the tourist trade, (cid:858)re(cid:448)e(cid:374)ge(cid:859) o(cid:374) the ri(cid:272)h foreig(cid:374)er syndrome. Tourists are: visual-easy to spot, unsuspecting, distracted, lack regional/local awareness.
