Caffeine, alcohol, hormonal changes/menstruation, changes in barometric pressure/altitude. Wernicke"s area is in posterior of the head --> responsible for language comprehension. Broca"s area is in the front of head --> responsible for language production. In right handed people: both areas on the left side; in left handed people, both areas on right side.
