Physical acivity existed within certain socialized structures: schools, social clubs, lacked the bodies waning to engage in organized sport, seen as a secondary to physical acivity because it was more used for social. Organizaion in the era of play: upper class organize sports as athlete games. Without naional governing bodies: hegemonic amateurism in britain.
