A brief history of india and persia (iran) There is a similar problem of multiple belief systems colliding which make it difficult to understand some of the myths some times. There is a root of commonality among the two places if you were to go very far back. Has a very long history- 9000 years ago. The writing system has not been deciphered yet. The ruling class later on speaks sanskrit 1750-500bce. This is when we see these myths being written. Mahabharata which is an epic war story. It is unclear if this war actually happened but it is fairly certain that there was a war and it was mythologized. Jainism and buddhism are the two ideologies that clash. Both have a different take on life an how it is lived. This is the time period of the persian empires height. Over a long time, various cities form the persian empire. The eventually conquer many people including the babylonian empire.
