Frontal plane: (coronal) the middle plane splitting anterior and posterior. Anatomical position is standing up straight legs apart and palms face forward. Proximal: closer to origin of limb (relative to trunk) Distal: farther to origin of limb (relative to trunk) Inversion: plantar (bottom) side of foot goes inward. Eversion: plantar (bottom) side of foot goes outside. Pronation: palmar side of hand turning down. Supination: palmar side of hand turning up.
