Proximal: closer to origin of limb (relative to trunk) Distal: farther to origin of limb (relative to trunk) Inversion: plantar (bottom) side of foot goes inward. Eversion: plantar (bottom) side of foot goes outside. Pronation: palmar side of hand turning down. Supination: palmar side of hand turning up.
