Sometimes, despite the leaders best efforts, there are some individuals who are not well-integrated into the group. Important to try and engage in the out-group. Definitions: diversity and inclusion; what is an outgroup. Diversity is defined as the amount of difference among members of a group or organization. Diversity can have primary dimensions like age, gender, race and these are the more vive=le elements of difference. Secondary dimensions are less visible and include factors such as education, family status, work style, etc. Individuals of different backgrounds must operate together to achieve goals. People don"t pay attention to visible differences. Organizations are not able to achieve their goals if individuals wind up in the outgroups.
