PP 110 – Overview ***KNOW FOR FINAL EXAM***  No accepted distinction between ethics and morality o However, philosophers haves come to use the terms in the  Ethics: purpose, meaning, of life, what is it to lead a good life , what does it mean for it to be a good purpose  Morality: subspecies of ethics – our relationship between us, animals, people, etc.  Ethics: encompass individual goals (broad)  Morality: deals with relationship of people (specific)  Philosophy – look at the traditional o Ethics  Ex of question: question of right and wrong o Metaphysics  Term coined by Aristotle  Ontology – questions about reality (what is really real?)  How to prove?  How do you distinct illusion?
