Po102: part 2 governing at the global level. Technical mandates are more successful than other broader mandates. Regional mandates are more successful than global mandates. If a government is apart of a national organization, the organization works better until the interests are not in sync with the government. Often described as the closest thing to a world government: it is not a world government! The members are states, the citizens of the government are people. Some people from the united states are pushing to be not a part of the un: people think the u. s. is constricting itself by being apart of the u. n. Sovereignty: two dimensions to it: the right to self determination, what goes on in the state cannot be influenced or affected from the outside. Non-intervention: automatically limits the un"s power, and all other igos, states don"t often or easily delegate their power to outsiders.
