Aging- new issues, declining birth rate, areas of greatest strength is age- more likely to be republican. Younger- more likely to control democrats but the young don"t vote. American become more accepting of immigration, it keeps the country going. Myth- that anyone can succeed in america. Trusts- business monopolies, abused the capitalist system. Roosevelt- one of the greatest presidents, becomes president by accident. Tries to place limits on the monopoly, tries to make them free competition. Keynes- economics, it is okay to borrow in bad times and to pay it back in the good times. Income (how much you make) and wealth (your overall value) and different things, how that changes over time. Toryism- party that was loyal in the 18th c.
