Schools of thought battle continues: what is the root cause of behavior: psychoanalytic theory: unconscious determinants of behavior trying to igure out what people are thinking and why you"re thinking what you"re thinking. According to freud nobody knows what causes behaviors, and unaware of why we do what we do. We are simply motivated by unconscious sexual desires. There was no way to prove that freud was right or wrong since were unaware of our unconscious thinking: behaviorism.
