Oten have diiculty with problems that requires abstract reasoning. Can think logically about concrete & abstract problems. Informaion-processing approaches: development is coninual and gradual, not stage like, cogniive growth occurs as informaion processing abiliies gradually become more eicient. As children age: informaion search strategies improve, informaion processing speed quickens, memory capabiliies improve, metacogniion develops.
