The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 1966:
Schedule I: hard drugs
-opium poppy derivatives (heroin, codeine, morphine etc)
-coca and derivatives (cocaine)
-amphetamines (meth, MDMA)
-PCP, ketamine, rohypnol, GHB, fentanyl, etc
-possession: indicatable offense, max 7 years prison
-possession: summary conviction offense: first offence: max 1k fine and/or 6 months
prison, subsequent: max 2k fine and/or 1 year prison
-trafficking, exportation and production: max life imprisonment
Schedule II: cannabis and derivatives (see also schedules VII and VIII)
Amounts in schedule VIII:
-possesssion: indictable offense, max 5 years
-summary conviction first and second: 1k/6 months, 2k/1 year
-trafficking, exportation, and production (excluding marijuana) max life imprisonment
-marijuana production: max 7 years
III: amphetamines, medical sedatives, hallucinogens
-LSD, DMT, Mescaline, Psilocybin etc
-possession: indictable max 3 years
