Child psychology is interdisciplinary because it has grown through the combined efforts of people from many fields. Developmental is often divided into three broad domains: physical, cognitive and emotional and social. Physical development: changes in body size, proportions, appearance, functioning of body systems, perceptual and motor capacities and physical health.
