Ecosystem services: the wlu campus as a pollinator habitat. This area throughout the day maintains direct sunlight access for approximately 6 hours. Although currently unused, with slight modification annual flowering plants could be added in a risen bed. Portion adjacent to university receives almost constant sunlight throughout the day, perfect for flowering plants, especially due to how excluded it is from human traffic. Again this area is a prime location for direct solar energy for plants and thus connecting pollinators. Two large triangular patches of grass, adjacent to conrad residence parking lot facing university (nw) Although heavy traffic around, the parameter for pedestrian passing is clearly marked and rarely redirected. Currently a large maple tree habits the the portion closest to conrad entrance. 200x300 foot patch of grass in the shape of an l, this surrounds the exterior of conrad facing university. Currently coniferous and deciduous trees that outline the parameter, but within the l is vacant land.
