Treating headache: migraine, range of drugs for different individuals, ergotamine compounds (vasoconstrictor, given with caffeine during acute attacks, tension headaches, muscle-relaxant drugs, minor tranquilizers, posture improvement, reduction of stress. Interference with blood supply: disturb glucose or oxygen metabolism, alter cell membranes, form pus, causes edema. Bacterial infections: bacterium, microorganism that has no chlorophyll and multiplies by simple division, bacterial meningitis. Infection of the meninges by bacteria: bran abscesses, secondary to infection elsewhere in the body, cause cell necrosis and multiplication of bacteria, increases intracranial pressure.
