Men would chant hindu scripture and women would make daily food offerings, bless images with holy water, etc. Four noble truths: existence is rooted in dissatisfaction; this suffering is engendered by attachment to desire; the eradication of desire leads to nirvana a state of devoid dissatisfaction; and the eightfold path proclaimed by siddhartha. Gautama the buddha leads to attainment of nirvana.
