Clan: every individual is linked to a large network of relatives called a clan, common in agricultural societies, like a greatly extended family. If a clan has higher status so do the individuals. Ideology: a system of beliefs that justifies social arrangements. Means of production: the tools, factories, land, and investment capital used to produce wealt. Marx considered this to be what social class depended on.
