To make sentences negative, you always have to place the negative word before the conjugated verb. (yo no necesito comprar un libro para mi clase de franc s or yo nunca escucho m sica rock / i never listen to rock). The verb to like gustar in spanish does not behave like other regular ar verbs. While formulating sentences with the verb gustar in spanish, one will only use two conjugated forms. These are the only two forms you will use and memorize for the present tense with the verb gustar; gusta and gustan (conjugations for the third person singular and plural). Let"s use the examples below to illustrate the structure of a sentence in spanish with the verb gustar. I iike arts" class me gusta la clase de arte. In spanish, subject pronouns (yo, t , ud. , l, ella, nosotros, nosotras, vosotros, vosotras, ellos and ellas) are not used when expressing what one likes or dislikes.
