Called: socialization helpless infant becomes self aware and skilled. But traditional sociologists would say these are not instincts ^^ Classical sociological position: human beings do not have instincts argue because this definition: Instincts: complex patterns of behavior that are genetically determined example: can"t override it. For example: courtship rituals of animals for courtship. No species differ from this instinct its not override. Reflex: single, simple, automatic response to a stimulus. Traditional sociologist says that instincts are actually reflexes. Humans have biological needs like sleeping, or sex but the expression of needs and fulfilled are different between cultures it"s a product of socialization! example: sitting or standing for peeing.
